The Family Centre at Kishwaukee Hospital provides 24 hour childcare services for children who are sick.
Service restrictions & fees:
- Program does not provide care for children
diagnosed with contagious disease.
- Ability to serve depends on the availability of open beds.
- The service costs $3.00/hour and there is a 1 time $10.00 registration fee.

- Qualification can take from 1-2 years or over 5 years depending on points, so appy NOW!
- There are apartments and housing complexes scattered around DeKalb that accept section 8 vouchers from DCHT. Ask for a list of these apartments before or when you receive your section 8 voucher.
*It is important to note that section 8 vouchers are issued in mass quantities. This means that you will be competing with others for apartment spaces so you may want to call DCHT occassionally to find out when your voucher will be issued. This will allow you some time to make arrangements.
